Its really encouraging to see how a group of people who have that desire to learn God's word get together. We started out as a pretty small group of 6 and how we have grown to 15! Really want to give praise to God who has given the increase.

Finally managed to get everyone together to take a photo. We are missing Dawn here though but its quite a feat to get the rest into the picture considering our schedules!

Let us continue meet the way we do, encouraging and spurring each other on the good deeds, especially to those who belong to the household of God!

The truth about cats and dogs. I must admit that I started out as being a dog person but because of a friend, finally turning out as a cat person. Cats and dogs are really different. Words usually associated to dogs are "friend", "loyal", "obedient" etc and for cats "independent", "attitude", "passive" etc.

And it is interesting that a author wrote a book on "Cat and Dog theology" which uses the imagery of cats and dogs to illustrate how sometimes our Christianity reflects our behaviour and attitudes. The author makes an interesting remark and it goes something liek this:

The dog says, "You pet me, feed me, give me shelter and love me, you must be God"

The cats says, "You pet me, feed me, give me shelter and love me, I must be God"

If you were either a cat or dog lover, I'm sure you'll agree with the statements above. Isn't this also true about us? Which animal best represents us? The cat or the dog? Think about it.

The Garage band was performing at Emannual House on the 3rd Sept. They did a particular number which really stuck to my mind. The name of the song is "Who am I" by Casting Crowns. this song really stuck out cos its in line whith what we are studying in the book of Galatians. "It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery" (Galatians 5:1) A reminder that it is really what God has done and not what we can do. Our only response is to stand firm in the Lord Jesus Christ.
