Come to the Savior, make no delay—
Here in His Word He's shown us the way;
Here in our midst He's standing today,
Tenderly saying, "Come!" —Root

  • Hi Pierre. I am commenting Because my chatterbox is well,....Broken. *Sob sob*. Ken just commented and I did not know if you guys wanted to continue debating this topic. Up to you of course. I back you up on the part that the disciples were looking for a political leader, but I personally believe that the disciples still understood the parables. Mainly because it says in the bible, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven". If you wish to continue, I would hive Ken the reason why you believe they didn't. Either way, it was a great topic. Have a great day,

  • Sure, I'm game. But how do you want to proceed?

  • I am at my chatterbox now using two windows. I would start with telling him why you believe what you believe, then, from there, we can start working out with the bible, why the disciples would or would not understand the parables. It will take a while. Maybe a few days. I will notify Ken and we can start. You comment first and I will do it second. Ken can jump in whenever and we will use the bible as our guide. Can't wait,

  • Well, Pierre, you gave us a snip of a fine gospel song that is not often used today, "Come to the Saviour," by George F. Root--who, incidentally, was born 189 years ago today.

    Since you make no personal reference to the song, I can only hope that you yourself have come to the Saviour in faith. God bless.
