Spec bumps on the Apple Power Mac G5 lineup:
We know Amazon totally let the cat out of the bag
yesterday on the new Power Mac G5 specs, so what Apple announced today shouldn’t really come as a surprise. And yes,
while the high-end is now the dual 2.7GHz G5, its base config is going for more than we expected—$3,000. It’s still
followed by the dual 2.3GHz and 2.0GHz models, which head out at $2,500 and $2,000, respectively; if you’re thinking of
a single CPU unit (really?), you can pick one up for $1,500, lucky you.
