Citroen has chosen the Madrid International Motor Show (26-28 May) to unveil its adventurously styled and youthful C-Buggy off-road concept car alongside real-world innovation including a 173BHP HDi diesel engine destined for C5 and a 6-speed electronic gearbox system for C4.

A funky derivative of the C-Airplay concept, the C-Buggy is Citroen’s futuristic interpretation of a two-seater, go-anywhere car. The absence of a roof, windscreen and windows, adds to the C-Buggy’s carefree charm, whilst wide wheel arches, big wheels, glass door portholes and sump guard hint at its off-road credentials.

The wraps are also off Citroen’s brand new 173BHP HDi diesel engine. Later this year drivers of the Citroen C5 will be the first to experience the benefits of the company’s latest generation powerplant. Advancements include the fitment of a high performance parallel dual turbo and new combustion and injection systems that ensure the engine sets new standards in flexibility, driveability and fuel consumption.

Also on display will be Citroen’s innovative C4 with a new 6-speed electronic gearbox system that combines electro-hydraulic gearbox control for smooth, fast gear changing with automated gear and clutch management. It offers economy advantages and represents a real cost-conscious alternative to manual and automatic transmission.

Showcasing its commitment to the environment, Citroen’s fuel saving and emissions reducing C2 Stop & Start plus a C4 Hybrid HDi demonstration vehicle will also be on display at Madrid.

In addition, visitors to the show will get a close look at the C4 Citroen Sport, the forerunner to the future C4 WRC that will be defending Citroen’s title in 2007, with Sébastien Loeb at the wheel.

Citroën’s popular C4 has been voted 2006 World Car Design of the Year, at the New York International Auto Show, in acknowledgement of the way it has helped to push the established boundaries of innovation and style.

Finally had the chance to visit the Apple shop that was newly opend at Wheelock. They moved to a bigger premises jsut a couple of shops away from theier previous one. Shp was brightly litted to attract the unsuspecting consumer...:) The iPods were to die for. Huge range of products. One of the things I noticed there was there was a display for xBox games. Surprisign cos its a Mac shop after all. I stopped a sales assistant and asked why Mac was carrying Microsoft products....he was speechless...haha.

We did something different this Thursday for BS, thanks Christine for organizing this outing. Melissa's BS group joined us for a time of good laughs and good games. Settler's Cafe is a cafe pretty much like T-bar but they have a lot of board games which you have probabaly never played before. For starters we played this card game, it had us pretty much in stitches and we have a good ab workout, tearing in the process, not so much out of pain but becos it was soooo funny. They say laughter is the best medicine. We had a great time. We also celebrated Louisa's birthday.

Finally! After a really long time, we managed to return to the place of fabulous Sashimi. Apparently (dunno who told me, can't recall) that you need to book 1 month in advnce to get any sort of reservation! Fortunately, we managed to get a booking for 6 of us. A bratwurst is a fried sausage, composed of pork and beef (sometimes veal). Etymology: German, from Old High German brAtwurst, from brAt meat without waste + wurst sausage. Popular etymology suggests "fried sausage"; this, however, is incorrect. The word bratwurst can refer to a sausage that is as yet uncooked (but meant to be cooked before eating), or already cooked by any means regardless of the word's origins. The word usually refers to a mostly pork product, but can be used to refer to an all beef product [1].

The original German "Bratwurst" comes from Thuringia, known as Thüringer Rostbratwurst. A "Bratwurst" meal often is eaten with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and roasted onions.

The sausage is usually eaten with a German mustard called "Senf" or sliced and eaten as Currywurst. Bratwurst is almost always served with a hard German roll known as a Brötchen and usually accompanied by a beer. It is a popular snack in German-speaking countries, where it is sold at various fast food outlets and is often consumed while standing.

In the United States, bratwurst are usually eaten with bread (a hot dog bun or a hardroll, for example) and topped with mustard and/or many of the other condiments often eaten with hot dogs, including onions (grilled and/or raw), relish, ketchup, sauerkraut, etc. The bratwurst is most often eaten with a pair of brat links nestled in a buttered hardroll with these same toppings, which is called a 'double brat'.

Johnsonville Foods, the nation's largest bratwurst maker, is based in the nearby unincorporated village of Johnsonville. Bratwurst are often simply called brats.

Wooo, Ben and Jerry's and I go all the way back to uni days. Remember this was one ice cream that my friends and I will go all the way for! We used to live in the halls and sometime life would get really sad especially when your cramming for your term paper, so what we would do was to take a bus all the way ouf of campus to Jalan Bahar. There was a Shell petrol station where we could buy Ben and Jerry's ice-cream. Needless to say, we ate all of it in one night! My fave is "Chunky Monkey".

Thanks to Hanwei, I got to relive those days again.

3M the company that makes post-it notes also make a whole load of other
products.

In a recent marketing campaign in Vancouver they sought a strong
image for their security glass.

They modified a bus shelter and fitted their security glass and filled
it with REAL BANKNOTES !!
Many have tried to gain access with golf clubs and baseball bats.

But obviously the glass remains intact !

From time to time a local TV station intends to show videos of those
trying to get at the cash!! "

It was pretty much a makan fiasco in Malacca. With Ben around to show us the town, we were in for a treat. First stop was the famous Chicken rice balls. They were yummy, not to mention the out of this world design. The chicken was the firm "kampong" chicken, meat was tender and succulent.

Another worth mentioning makan place was the Bambo restaurent in JB. Did a pit-stop there on our way back from your week-end getaway. The paper-wrapped chicken is a defintite must - cannot miss. You should have seen how clean the remaining bones were... All in all, it was a fabulous trip of eating of relaxing and just chilling out with dear dear friends. Makantime should have been there, he would have loved it. We'll do it sometime again okay? (HAHA). Once again, we cannot thank Tingni who made all of this possible

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it...don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

We managed to pull it off. Operation Surprise. We really caught Eunice off guard this time! Haha, it was really fun organizing it and stuff. Thanks to Christine and Ben for organizing it all.

It too was an eventful day for me, getting the cake. Carrot cakes are pretty hard to come by, had to walk the whoel of Siglap, but in the end managed to find the cake at Secret Recipe. Alas, on my way to Sentosa, a cab cut into my lane and I needed to do hard braking. Guess what? The cake flew off the seat... Had to rush the cake back to the cake shop for soem emergency reconstructive surgery. Fortunately the surgeons (bakers) were able to do a good job. *Whew*

Anyway, we enjoyed the cake, Kevin and Eunice play Tic-Tac-Toe on it... haha.

Bless you. That has been the buzz word for me for a while. My colleague has been sneezing for as far as I can remember. I've shifted to my new desk for almost a year already... no more hiding in the corner. I'm sitting up front, just like in school. Wonder if my boss thinks I'm a trouble-maker, I know my teachers thought so when I was in school...haha.

Anyhow, today, my colleague decided that my desk was too dusty! And she started cleaning my desk for me...haha. I felt super bad. And told her I would clean it later, but she wiped my desk clean...oops. Think she figured that her constant sneezing was due to the dust on my desk... I must admit its kinda messy but I call it an organized mess! Ask me, I can find anything on my desk...hehe.
